His Dark Materials Season 3 Plot
The final episode of Season 2 introduces a new chapter in the story of Lyra, Will, and the witches. They’re about to go to war, according to Ruta Skadi.
Mrs. Coulter goes to tremendous pains to find Lyra in another area of Cittàgazze. The key revelation reveals that Lyra will be the second Eve, bringing about the second Fall of Man.
Lee, unlike John Parry, is unable to flee the Magisterium’s hordes. As a final resort, he calls Serafina, but she appears to be a bit late. In this scenario, Lee dies, and John follows suit.
Will is told by John Parry that despite his death, he must follow the celestial hosts to Asriel. Asriel is a target for the angels in the upcoming fight. Roger is able to communicate with the woman who kidnapped Lyra after she was taken away by Mrs. Coulter.
In the third season, ‘The Amber Spyglass,’ the third novel in the series, will serve as inspiration. To a large extent, the structure of the show is based on the original. The second season’s cliffhanger conclusion left Lyra in the custody of Magisterium agent Mrs. Coulter, therefore this story will resume where it left off in the season finale.

His Dark Materials season 3 cast: Who’s in it?
In addition to Dafne Keen and Amir Wilson, the BBC has confirmed that Ruth Wilson and Simone Kirby will play Lyra, Mary Malone, Serafina Pekkala, Father MacPhail, and Lord Asriel (James McAvoy).
At the end of season two, Lord Asriel appeared in a brief cameo appearance, after having been missing for much of Lyra’s journey.
Lyra had always thought of the self-centered adventurer as her uncle, but when she learned he was actually her biological father, she was horrified.
The absence of James McAvoy for the second season felt like a hindrance, but screenwriter Jack Thorne admitted the actor was essential to the show’s success.
James McAvoy came in and gave us a COVID day, he told Radio Times. “Executive producer Dan McCulloch moved mountains to make it happen.
What I like most about James is that he stood up and cried to the heavens, and it was a joy to watch.”
“I’m grateful to the previewers for keeping it a mystery up to this point, and I’m glad it wasn’t spoiled.”
Speaking to Radio Times, McAvoy confessed that he was initially overlooked for the role of Lord Asriel in the first season of Game of Thrones. It wasn’t until he was talking to the casting director about how much he loved the novels that he was called in: “It was actually very last minute—I was chatting to the casting director, who’s a friend of mine, waxing lyrical about how much I love the books,” he says.
“So she got in touch with me and asked if I could start on Monday. On Friday, that happened. They may have been let down by a few people at the last minute,” I believe.
