Mike Krzyzewski was born in Chicago, Illinois, on February 13th, 1947. His Polish-American parents, William and Emily Krzyzewski were devout Catholics who brought up their son Mike in the Catholic faith. At the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York, Krzyzewski graduated with his bachelor’s degree in 1969.
