Rae Sremmurd is gearing up to deliver their highly anticipated triple album on Friday (May 4). Today, the rap duo land their 14th song on the Billboard Hot 100 chart (dated April 1), as “Close” launches at No. 98.

Following its first full week of tracking after its April 26 release, “Close” debut’s with over 7 million Spotify streams and 3 million YouTue views.

The new track is part of their upcoming album, which will be three-in-one, consisting of solo projects from both Slim Jxmmi and Swae Lee, and one joint project. March brought us “Powerglide”, the first track from the Rae Sremmurd joint project. “Close”is the second cut, and included additional bars from Travis Scott.

As is the case for most of SR3MM, Mike WiLL Made-It managed produced the rap duo’s latest track. Beats 1’s Zane Lowe, who premiered “Close” on April 26, called it “the best” release yet from the hip-hop duo.
