Rising star 6ix9ine has reportedly cancelled all shows for the upcoming European tour to protect his ‘freedom’.
Earlier this month, 6ix9ine pleaded guilty in a child sex case and now as part of new sentencing proceedings, might face jail time for failing his General Educational Development (GED) test.
The court offered 6ix9ine a deal to avoid prison time if he successfully completes the GED. According to Jezebel, 6ix9ine told the judge that he has passed every section of the GED except for science. Judge Felicia Mennin has delayed the proceedings until April 10, but said that if 6ix9ine hasn’t completed the requirements by then, he might end up in prison.
6ix9ine has since decided to cancel his European tour to allow time to study. The rapper apologized saying “I would like to take this time to apologize to all my Europe fans, to the booking machine agency, I won’t be going on tour in Europe”. He went on to say “I took this time to study for my GED exam which is literally depending on my freedom”.
Full refunds will will be provided by the Booking Machine Agency. More information including refund details can be found on Facebook.
