Back in July of this year, rapper 6ix9ine was pistol-whipped, robbed and kidnapped in the early hours of the morning as he was traveling through the streets of his hometown in Brooklyn. Last week, the first suspect was arrested for his alleged role in the altercation.

According to report’s by TMZ, Federal agents arrested Anthony Jamel Ellison on a federal warrant for his role in the assault and robbery of 6ix9ine. According to documents obtained by TMZ, a grand jury indicted Ellison on 1 count of conspiracy to obstruct commerce by robbery, 1 count of obstructing commerce by robbery, and 1 count of carrying a firearm to commit a crime.

Ellison was reportedly taken to a federal prison in Manhattan on November 6, where he will remain awaiting trial.

Sources connected to the situation suggested Ellison had been part of 6ix9ine’s management before his career began to skyrocket. Law enforcement sources said Ellison is a known member of the 9 Trey Bloods street gang.
