Cardi B just deleted her Instagram, and it looks like it’s because the of the backlash seen after her Invasion of Privacy album won the award for Best Rap Album at the 2019 Grammy Awards.
Cardi didn’t appear to provide any explicit reason for the deactivation, but the negative comments received on social media likely played a key role in her departure from Instagram.
In a now-deleted video she uploaded earlier today, Cardi spoke about the negativity surrounding her name. This was likely the reason she made direct appreciation posts to J. Cole, DJ Khalid and more who congratulated her for winning the award.
Here’s to hoping social media hasn’t gotten to Cardi too much after she’s kicked off a dominating start to the year.
