Rae Sremmurd season is officially upon us. Yesterday, the group released “T’d Up,” the second single for their upcoming album, Sr3mm. The new track was produced by Swae Lee, Metro Boomin, and Darrel Jackson. They debuted the song at Super Bowl Live over the weekend.
There is no word on when Sr3mm will be released, be Mike Will Made did It announce that Sr3mm will be a triple-disc split between a Rae Sremmurd side, a Swae Lee’s solo album Swaecation, and Jxmmi’s project Jxmtroduction. If the group is going to give us dark and hazy bangers like “T’d Up,” it will be interesting to see what they deliver on their solo efforts.
Rae Sremmurd released SremmLife 2 back in 2016, featuring the duo’s biggest hit yet, “Black Beatles”. The song largely influenced the duo’s popularity thanks to the Mannequin Challange meme on Instagram. Over the course of last year, the pair were featured on a remix of Khalid’s “Young, Dumb and Broke” as well as iLoveMakonnen’s return single “Love.” Swae Lee was featured as a solo guest on French Montana’s hit “Unforgettable” as well as the Jhene Aiko single “Sativa.”
