Scream 5 Blu-ray and Digital Release Dates Announced

Since its premiere in theatres more than a month ago to critical acclaim, Spyglass Media Group’s next slasher film, Scream, has been released on Blu-ray and digitally by Paramount Pictures. Tomorrow, March 1, the film starring Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega will be available for digital purchase.

On April 5, Paramount Home Entertainment will release the film on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD. Scream 2-Movie Collection, which includes both the new 2022 film and the 1996 classic, will be available on 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray for fans to purchase.

Scream 5’s digital and print versions will include a slew of special features, such as deleted scenes, cast interviews, and a video honoring the late Wes Craven, the father of modern horror. If you want to pre-order your copy of the Blu-ray or DVD, check out the key art in the gallery below.

The full details for each of the bonus features are listed below:

  • A look behind-the-scenes at the creative process of this genre-defying horror film is provided in the form of a filmmaker commentary.
  • Bloodlines — meet Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, and David Arquette for an in-depth look at their characters and why they decided to return to their favorite horror franchise.
  • The new generation of Woodsboro victims and prospective killers has arrived.
A tribute to Wes Craven and a look back at his extraordinary legacy as the director who reinvented horror is presented in the documentary, In the Shadow of the Master.
  • Scenes that were cut from the film have been unearthed and brought back to life.

Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, the filmmakers of Ready or Not, collaborated with James Vanderbilt (Zodiac) and Guy Busick on the screenplay, which they then co-directed (Ready or Not). The recently ordered sixth installment of the Scream film series, which is set to begin shooting this summer, will see the return of both the directing and writing teams.

It’s not just the returning cast of Scream 5 that’s excited to be back: newbies like Jack Quaid and Melissa Barrera join the ranks of the franchise’s veteran actors like Neve Campbell and Courteney Cox and veteran actors like David Arquette and Marley Shelton.
