Kim S. Pegula is an American businesswoman who co-owns the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League with her husband Terry Pegula.
She is also the president of Pegula Sports and Entertainment, the holding company that oversees the Bills, as well as the National Hockey League’s Buffalo Sabres, the National Lacrosse League’s Buffalo Bandits and Rochester Knighthawks, and the American Hockey League’s Rochester Americans.
The corporation also runs the LECOM Harborcenter and Black River Entertainment, a Nashville-based indie musical label.
She is also the president of Pegula Sports and Entertainment, which owns the Bills and Sabres. The only three NFL team owners who were not born in the United States are Terry Pegula, Shahid Khan, and Zygi Wilf.
What Is Wrong With Kim Pegula?
Kim Pegula is suffering from a critical illness, according to a statement sent by her family on Tuesday morning. She has been getting treatment since last week.
The news was also communicated to Pegula Sports and Entertainment personnel on Tuesday morning and was described as a “unexpected health condition.”
Furthermore, no additional information about the severity of her health issues or where she is receiving care was provided.
The nature of her problem is unknown, and neither the Pegulas nor the Bills want to discuss it.
Pegula’s whereabouts are unknown, including if she is in a hospital or at home receiving treatment, and whether she is in Buffalo or on the family’s Florida property.
Apart from that, Ralph and Marilyn Kerr fostered Pegula, a Seoul orphan, when she was a tiny child in 1974.

Career
From 1991 to 2010, Pegula worked for her husband’s company, East Resources. The Pegulas bought the Buffalo Sabres and their two affiliated teams, the Buffalo Bandits of the NLL and the Rochester Americans of the AHL, shortly after.
She impacted the design and building of LECOM Harborcenter, a mixed-use development adjacent to the Sabres’ arena that is part of Buffalo’s redevelopment. The football team was placed up for sale after longtime Buffalo Bills owner Ralph Wilson died.
The Pegulas were in a bidding war for the franchise with real estate magnate (and future US president) Donald Trump, as well as a group led by rock singer Jon Bon Jovi and major members of Toronto-based Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment. With an all-cash purchase of $1.4 billion, the Pegulas set an NFL record.
Following the purchase, Kim and Terry Pegula merged their sports franchises, as well as their record label, Black River Entertainment, into Pegula Sports and Entertainment. She is also working with the NFL Foundation and helped popularise the phrase “One Buffalo.”
The Pegulas have also given generously to their alma maters, including a $12 million gift to Houghton College, which allowed the school to establish a new athletics complex and move up to NCAA Division III.
Pegula, a dessert connoisseur, assisted in the development of “One Buffalo” branded luxury ice cream and cupcake goods.

Pegula Sports and Entertainment, led by Kim Pegula, has made multiple property acquisitions in Buffalo and founded MSG Western New York, a regional sports network, since its inception. The Buffalo Beauts of the National Women’s Hockey League (until they were sold a year later) and the Rochester Knighthawks of the National Lacrosse League were also owned by the firm.
Pegula was appointed to the National Football League’s business ventures committee in March 2018, replacing Russ Brandon. Pegula serves on the Super Bowl and major-event advisory committees of the NFL.
Pegula was inaugurated as president of all Pegula Sports and Entertainment properties on May 1, 2018, following Brandon’s sudden resignation as president of Pegula Sports and Entertainment, as well as the Bills and Sabres.
When she took over the Bills and Sabres organizations, she became the first female team president in both the NFL and NHL.
