In January 2018, Love and Hip Hop star Alexis Skyy welcomed her baby Alaiya Grace into the world. Alexis has embraced parenthood; Alaiya is frequently featured on Alexis’ Instagram, and their affection for one another is evident.
However, Alexis hasn’t always found it simple to be a parent because Alaiya has a number of medical issues that make taking care of her particularly challenging. Alexis has further dealt with Fetty Wap’s denial of paternity and problems with his other baby mother, Lezhae Lowder.
Alaiya Was Born Much Too Soon.
Alaiya experienced difficulties from an early age. She was born “extremely premature” since she did so three full months early. At Alaiya’s gestational age, most newborns weigh only three pounds.
Babies that are born so early could face a variety of dangers. Premature infants are susceptible to infections, intraventricular haemorrhage (brain bleeding), cardiac disorders, and breathing difficulties in their first year of life.
They are more susceptible throughout time to behavioural, psychological, and learning problems, problems with their hearing and vision, cerebral palsy, and other chronic health conditions.
Prior to modelling, Skyy worked as a pole dancer. She became well-known after she started dating American rapper and songwriter Willie Maxwell II, also known as Fetty Wap. Even though news of the couple’s engagement surfaced in March 2016, they called it quits in April of that same year.
The former dancer founded The Bella Sky Spa in Atlanta, Georgia, in June 2016. She is also the owner of Skyy Communications and Skyy Level Media. Later, Bella Sky Spa went out of business.
History of Relationships and Dating
Alexis and Fetty Wap split up in the same year they started dating. However, until there was a controversy over who Skyy’s baby’s real father was, their connection remained on and off. She and Fetty quickly called it quits on their relationship.
On October 14, 2017, Alexis Sky announced that she was expecting a daughter. Alaiya Grace, a daughter of Alexis Sky, was born on January 4.
The Hydrocephalus in Alaiya Necessitated Surgery.
The condition of hydrocephalus is critical. Everyone typically has a cerebrospinal fluid, which is crucial for protecting the brain and flushing out waste. Too much cerebrospinal fluid accumulates and presses on the brain in hydrocephalus patients, which can impede brain function and harm the brain.
Alaiya underwent surgery in June to implant a ventriculoperitoneal shunt, a tool that releases pressure by removing extra brain fluid. Alaiya underwent a shunt procedure, a typical therapy for hydrocephalus, and recovered successfully.
Alexis, Alaiya’s mother, made it plain that no matter what difficulties she may encounter, she will always be there for her. Last month, Alexis posted on Instagram to express her pride in young Alaiya (the post has since been removed).
Since the day she was born, I have held my baby TIGHT, and I will continue to do so for her entire life, said Alexis. I’m a mom first, and I’ll always be at her side regardless of her impairments. Layla, you are stunning, and my love for you will never end! I’m proud to be the mother of a disabled child! Salutations to all the other mothers of disabled children worldwide.
